An Another Journey Across the Veil
‘Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”’ Matthew 9:37-38
“I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” John 4:35
As I open my eyes on the other side, I see field after field after field of all different kinds of grain crops. The ones that I recognized resembled corn, wheat, and barley, however there were many other varieties. From where I was standing I could tell that they stretched beyond the horizon to my right, to my left and to my front. Now as I observed these fields that as I said seemingly went on for miles and miles, saw workers very scarcely scattered throughout them tending and bringing in as much of the harvest as they possibly could. Watching them more closely, while you could still see the joy that doing Kingdom work gave them at the same time you saw the weariness in their eyes and in hunch in their backs from the weighty responsibility of their calling.
As I was standing there, I asked the Lord, “Why grains?”
It was as if my vision had a zoom function as I could see individual stalks of the various varieties. As I looked at them I realized that each individual plant may have hundreds of stalks and each stalk held hundreds if not thousands of individual seeds. Then I understood. Grains produce exponentially times exponentially not just by addition or even multiplication.
Then instantly I am soaring like an eagle above the same fields and even more so coming to realize the absolute enormity of these fields. Each and every plant of each and every variety was READY FOR HARVEST!! Having examined what seemed like a large portion of the area (It was only a tiny section), I was back to standing with Him.
What follows is my best recollection of what I heard Him say to me at that time.
I have prepared the harvest of MILLIONS of souls which with a single swing of my sickle can be brought into My kingdom. But I can’t do so. My church is not ready, it is not prepared for these. They will need to be disciplined and taught My Word, but do NOT quench their zeal. These are “wild ones”, they will display radical faith and passion for my kingdom. They will take the Good News to places never before believed possible and as a result MILLIONS on MILLIONS will be saved, delivered and healed.
But my church in its current state is like an old wineskin that will burst as soon as the new wine is poured into it. I have said these words before, and i will say them again, complacency and compromise have literally shackled and handcuffed the church from the power and impact that it could be having in this day and hour. Read, meditate on and study my letters to the churches in Revelation. They are a picture of the church in this day and hour.
Just as the 3 did in the Garden, my church has fallen asleep. This is true at all levels in many cases, personal, congregationally and corporately as a whole body.
This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14
And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Romans 13:11So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:6
GET OIL!!
THE Bridegroom is coming!
The Parable of the Ten Virgins Matthew 25:1-13
1 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.2Five of them were foolish and five were wise.3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.4The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.8The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 “ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
