‘ your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. ‘
Matthew 6:10
Our gracious Father, who loves with an everlasting immeasurable love, we your children come humbly before you. While we know you as out tender and compassionate Abba, we likewise acknowledge your omnipotent power and position sitting on your heavenly throne. You possess all authority, might and strength, yet out of your love you have given us a free will, the ability to choose for ourselves what we will say and do. Thus the ability to impact the outcome of our lives and the lives of those around us. It is that very “free will” that we bring to you. We pray that your kingdom come in our lives – We invite you in to every part of our lives and surrender our “will”, our “kingdom” back to you. We acknowledge and declare you as the Lord, Master and Ruler of our lives. We do so knowing that you have told us in your Word “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. We are assured that in surrendering our Kingdom for yours it is for our good. Similarly, we acknowledge you as the Lord and King overall and we declare your Kingdom come in our communities – your kingdom come in our states and finally your kingdom come in our country. We seek your PERFECT will in our lives and ask that you guide us by the unction of The Spirit. We pray for wisdom and understanding. We ask that when we are unsure, you will “Open doors no man can shut and shut doors no man can open.”
We ask that despite our plans and good intentions that you will guide us on the path and cause you Word to light the way.
We thank you once again for your compassion and grace for when we fall. We are overwhelmed when we get even a glimpse of understanding of the love that you have for us. Our sole desire is to so all that we can to return that love and to live our lives as pleasing in your eyes.
Spirit come and make your tangible presence known to us.
We thank you for hearing and answering and it is in the name above every name we pray,
AMEN
